Americans Grilled Over Tailgating Habits

PALATINE, Ill. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Tailgaters are fanning the flames of grilling at sporting events – literally.

The Weber barbecue company grilled Americans on their tailgating habits and found that 82 percent say firing up the grill in the parking lot or infield of sporting events is their favorite activity.

Meanwhile, a whopping 96 percent of Americans surveyed say grilling is either “always” or “sometimes” a part of their tailgating parties.

The top food to grill continues to be hamburgers, followed by hot dogs, then bratwursts. Chicken comes in fourth place, and this year, steak has gained popularity becoming the fifth most popular grilling food.

And while folks are chowing down on their food, 54 percent of them prefer listening to rock music, while 27 percent like country music.
