The program, which focuses on online dating, premiered in mid- July, and now Aptaker has had to clarify statements that appeared in print.
Among them are claims that she, a New York licensed OB/GYN, was barred from a medical license in Florida. Aptaker claims the application is still pending.
Aptaker also defends a quote in newspapers that she has a mental condition. She says theres no medical/psychiatric diagnosis whatsoever to support that claim.
Trouble started before the documentary even aired. She was booted from the U.S. Army Medical Corps. and was escorted off the military base for, she claims, no valid reason whatsoever.
Aptaker speculates the military brass, which she believes saw promos for the show, didnt like the fact she appeared on a TV show like Hooking Up.
Still, shes putting together a legal team to help her return to the medical corps and hopes to get shipped to Iraq.
