‘American Dreams’ Star Soldiering On – As A Soldier

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – American Dreams may have been canceled by NBC but actor Keith Robinson still has good reason to keep soldiering on – as a soldier.

Robinson – who played an anti-war activist on the 1960s- based drama – is now playing a singing soldier named “Angel” in the new FX series, Over There.

The two characters have completely different political beliefs but Robinson says there are similarities, especially because the character of “Angel” is, as he puts it, “not necessarily for the war but wants the self-improvement he hopes comes from being a good soldier.”

Robinson’s character is also a former choir singer and he says being a good singer in real life played a role in getting him the part.

Not only does he sing the title song on the first episode but Robinson is getting the chance to compose new songs for his character.

Over There debuts Wednesday (Jul. 27).
