‘Average Joe’ Participants Proud To Be Average

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The fourth edition of the NBC reality show Average Joe debuts on June 28 but, this time, the Joes are anything but average.

That’s the word from producer Stuart Krasnow, who says, unlike the previous three editions, these Joes were fully aware of the show’s premise.

In fact, he says they were “proudly proclaiming to be average” because they wanted to carry the torch for regular guys: a demographic group underrepresented on TV, especially reality shows.

Krasnow says the new edition, Average Joe: The Joes Strike Back, also gives the aspiring Joes as much of a chance to win the heart of model Anna Chudoba as possible by giving them makeovers and second chances to make a good impression.

While the show is giving average Joes a chance to wrest the limelight away from the pretty boys, Krasnow says the woman picked to be the object of their affection is different than the usual gals because of her sincerity and because she’s a redhead.
