Contest Looking For Real-Life Harry Potters

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Real-life Harry Potters have probably gotten a little guff for their name, but now they can make a whole lot of dough thanks to a new contest.

The Calling All Harry Potters Contest at abebooks.com is offering $2000 to real-life Harry Potters with the best story of how sharing their name with the world’s most famous fictional wizard has affected their life.

The contest just began and four Harry Potters have already entered – including a London lawyer who says his name has helped him win the affection of clients and judges.

Contest spokesman Richard Davies says he doesn’t expect “too many” more Harry Potters to participate because “it’s a pretty exclusive club.”

Davies says he will verify Harry Potter entrants by having them submit a picture of their face next to their driver’s license.

The contest ends July 18 – two days after the release of the sixth Harry Potter book: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince – and the winner will be picked by visitors to the website shortly after.
