‘Divorce Handicapper’ Gives Garner & Affleck 30 Percent Odds For Marital Success

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Lovebirds Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck haven’t walked down the aisle yet, but their pending marriage is already garnering low odds for success.

Beverly Pekala, a Chicago-based family lawyer who calls herself “America’s Divorce Handicapper,” says the two have only a 30 percent chance of staying hitched for even 15 years because of factors like Garner’s previous divorce and the low rate of successful Hollywood marriages.

Also, the expectant Garner will be losing valuable earning years by having Affleck’s child and, for that reason, Pekala advises strongly against signing a prenuptial agreement.

She figures Garner could lose up to $25 million in potential earnings by becoming a stay-at-home mom for the next five years, while Affleck has the potential to earn a staggering amount.

In her words, “If Garner signs a prenup – which would be really stupid – she’s losing 50 percent of what Affleck makes, which could be $100 million over the next 15 years.”
