Quentin Tarantino Turns CSI Into ‘QSI’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Quentin Tarantino is directing the season finale of CSI but he didn’t have any problems adapting his style to the show’s format.

Tarantino says he is such a big fan of the show that he knows the characters “really, really well” and that he is so familiar with the CSI sets that, as he puts it, “I feel strangely comfortable, even though I haven’t been here before.”

The Pulp Fiction director got the offer to direct from series star William Petersen last summer but was too busy with Kill Bill 2 to do it.

Still, CSI costar Paul Guilfoyle says the wait will be worth it for fans of the show and Tarantino.

In his words, “It’s a vintage mix of iconoclastic Vegas personas, grungy couriers, Old West lawyers and showbiz legends” and adds, “[Tarantino’s] deft balancing of tangential reality with the gravity of the main story is the essence of his style.”

The CSI season finale airs tomorrow (May 19) on CBS.
