New York Singer Finds Luck, Inspiration In $5 Dress

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Musicians often wear necklaces or bracelets to bring them good luck, but for one New York-based singer, a ragged $5 dress does the job.

Sultry singer Heather Greene found the cheap, white, summer dress three years ago and wrote a song while wearing it and now she believes every time she dons it, good fortune comes her way.

In her words, “It’s charmed, romantic and sexy – just like the way I sing.”

The 29-year-old says she wears the dress at least three times a month during the summer, but insists “I wash it. Don’t think that I don’t.”

Greene has named her debut album, Five Dollar Dress, after the threads and will showcase it Thursday (May 12) during the release party for her CD at a New York bar.

She is encouraging all those in attendance – even cross- dressing men – to wear their favorite cheap dress and the most fab inexpensive dress will win a copy of Greene’s CD and a photo op.
