‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ Gets A ‘Lynching’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The cast of the ABC reality series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is getting a Lynching – as in Jessica Lynch.

The former POW appears on the May 22 season finale, helping out the family of her best friend, Private First Class Lori Piestewa, who died in Iraq.

Lynch is asking the Makeover crew to build a home for Piestewa’s kids and parents in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Celebrity designer and Makeover cast member Eduardo Xol says the episode presented some unusual challenges because Piestewa’s family lives on an Indian reservation.

The crew had to take Native American beliefs into account and, while it wasn’t easy, Xol says those rituals helped smooth over construction and hints that tribesmen found a way to ensure the rain spirits didn’t wash away the foundation of the house.

Xol was impressed at how everyone worked together – especially Lynch, who he says needs a cane to walk but “still has an amazing ability to command people.”
