The Loosest Slots In America

DANIA, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A new gambling guide has revealed where the loosest slots in the U.S. can be found.

Steve Bourie is a 30-year gambling veteran who has compiled his American Casino Guide (Casino Vacations), which gives detailed slot machine statistics for 34 states based on data from 2004.

He says the Boulder Strip casinos outside of Las Vegas have the highest payout in the U.S. at 95.24 percent. Bourie says that’s where the locals play, and the results are high because most are playing video poker machines, which give the best return.

Second place is North Las Vegas, where the return on slots is 95.17 percent. Third is Reno, Nevada, with 94.88 percent.

Meanwhile, the tightest slots are at the riverboat Casino Aztar in Caruthersville, Missouri. They only returned 89.88 percent of the time.

Bourie says riverboat casino bosses tend to set their payout low because they’re sparsely distributed and know you aren’t likely to drive another five hours to get to the next casino.
