Wristbands Supporting Medicinal Marijuana Create A Buzz

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A group of medicinal marijuana supporters are banding together by selling wristbands to support those who use and prescribe the wacky tabacky.

In the month since Compassion and Freedom started selling the $2 green wristbands on their website, compassionandfreedom.com, spokesman Ted Mueller says they’ve sold hundreds.

Mueller says they want to bring awareness to medicinal marijuana and all its benefits, and the Lance Armstrong- inspired wristbands were the best way to go.

In his words, “We wanted something that would help make the topic not embarrassing for family and friends to talk about.”

In addition, he hopes the bands will tear down the misconceptions of marijuana and make folks see the drug as helping, not hurting, its users.

More important: Mueller says his pot-loving group want to generate some positive buzz before the Supreme Court hands down a decision in an important medicinal marijuana case within the next few months.
