Wednesday, March 31, 2010 17:16 GMT
NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) One man has the chops to work the blocks.Brick Artist Nathan Sawaya is stunning art lovers and fans of LEGO building blocks with the exhibition, Brick By Brick: The LEGO Brick Sculpture of Nathan Sawaya, currently showing at the Agora Gallery in NYC until April 13.
The show features life-sized human figures sculpted out of LEGOS which take weeks and countless colorful blocks to complete.
Sawaya is in no danger of running out of LEGOS, however, since he keeps a stash of at least 1.5 million blocks in his studio at all times.
He explains, My studio is a fun place, People are in awe. Theyve never seen so many bricks. People just sit and stare for a bit.
Visitors to the exhibit have the same reaction, but put their amazement to use once they get home.
Sawaya receives many emails from folks whove seen his work and been inspired to make their own LEGO art.
