NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – How do you solve the modern-day problem of dog overpopulation? You simply go medieval.A dog breeder in Louisiana has invented a strap-on, eight- buckle canine chastity belt that lets Fido do all bodily functions – except one.
The PABS – or Pet Anti Breeding System – was unveiled at a dog show several weeks ago and some believe it’s a viable alternative when neutering or spaying is a health risk, or in cases when owners expect to breed their pooches.
AOL Senior Correspondent Buck Wolf showed the device to the ASPCA, and though they still advocate giving pets a quick snip, they aren’t rejecting the chastity belt entirely.
Wolf explains, “I think the big downside is maintenance. Picking up after a dog is one thing. Washing out the chastity belt’s reusable canine sanitary napkin is something else. Even for a dog lover.”
