Mixtapes Lead To Marriage?

Thursday, January 28, 2010 17:07 GMT

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Mixtapes can determine whether a person is marriage material.

Putting together a good mixtape is an artform, and this Sunday (Jan. 31) the San Francisco Mixtape Society will test that claim with the Cities vs. Towns music mix contest at The Makeout Room.

Attendees are asked to compile a mixtape that goes with the night’s theme. The tapes will then be traded and raffled, so everyone will walk out with a collection of tunes.

According to spokesperson Annie Lin, any music format is acceptable, including an MP3 or CD mix.

However, those who take the time to craft an actual cassette tape mix stand out as “marriageable” since the old school method clearly requires more effort.

Winners will be picked based on their music choices and cover artwork, but no one leaves empty handed.

Lin says attendees will walk out with “cool swag” from sponsors, a cookie, great music, and maybe a future spouse.
