Weird News Central: The Sky’s The Limit For Dwarf Basketball

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you think beating a dwarf at hoops is child’s play, try taking the court with the New York Towers, a little people’s b-ball team.

The tiny team has big dreams and is out to prove that a well- conditioned dwarf can launch a jump shot just like any average- sized player.

Team Manager Clinton Brown tells AOL Senior Correspondent Buck Wolf, “We’ll play any team on a regulation court. We don’t care about their size.”

Brown’s squad – the tallest of whom is 4-foot-6 – makes up for their stature with speed and aggressiveness. They’re all veterans of the Little Person Olympics.

Of course, when the Towers play non-dwarf teams, dwarf rules apply: All passes must be bounce passes, and rebounds must hit the ground before they can be played.

The team’s ultimate goal is to one day take on Matt Roloff and the rest of the cast from TLC’s Little People, Big World.
