Cupcakes Cause Chaos

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – At one sweet camp, cupcakes set off a feeding frenzy.

Cupcake Camp is an event coming to San Francisco this Sunday (Oct. 4), where professional and amateur bakers bring their homemade cupcakes to share with other lovers of the tasty treat, who can sample as many cupcakes as they’re bellies can handle.

Though the cakes in questions are baked with sugar, attendees aren’t always so sweet.

Event creator Ariel Waldman says campers often go crazy and things get “pretty chaotic.”

She explains, “People try to bully their way in to make sure they get all the cupcakes. They crowd around the tables and don’t let others get any. We have to have cupcake bouncers to keep people in check.”

The stranger cupcakes, like Maple Bacon treats, seem to be the ones that send people into a frenzy the most because they’re dying to taste the odd flavor.
