Guitar Praise is a musical video game resembling Guitar Hero, only instead of rockin out tunes like Paranoid by Black Sabbath or Metallicas Master of Puppets, players strum their fake guitars to Christian rock songs.
Co-creator Tom Bean says many families arent comfortable with the sexual graphics or explicit songs on Guitar Hero.
He adds, The lyrics in those songs arent something they want their kids singing around the house. The words and music on Guitar Praise promote Christian values.
Instead of sex, money, and booze, Christian kids can sing about being respectful, not lying, cheating, or stealing, and treating each other right.
Bean assures theyre not looking to be preachy and overbearing, but want to provide a positive video game for children.
