Indian ‘King’ Gives Jacko Unusual Tribute

MUMBAI, India (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Michael Jackson is getting his most unusual tribute to date – from one king to another.

Bappi Lahiri is a major producer, singer, and director in India known as the “King Of Bling” for his love of gold chains.

Though his flashy style is based on Elvis, Lahiri is a huge fan of Michael Jackson, who once complimented his bling during a visit to India.

To honor the King Of Pop, Lahiri has recorded a music video of a song called “Don’t Say Goodbye,” an unusual fusion of “Bollywood meets hip-hop meets Hindi.”

The compilation includes various Hollywood-based artists, kind of like the group effort of “We Are The World,” but with “Indian flavor.”

Lahiri says the “emotional” song reveals the connection he feels to MJ, since they’re both kings who’ve challenged the music industry.

He hopes to release the video worldwide on Jackson’s birthday (Aug. 29).
