Cyclists Go Mad At Midnight

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A swarm of cyclists are taking over San Diego, and wearing their craziest costumes on the way.

The 36th Annual Midnight Madness Fun Bike Ride is coming to America’s Finest City this Saturday (Aug. 15), where 1,600 bicyclists dressed up in wacky costumes will ride 20 miles in the middle of the night.

Spokesperson Tiffany Olson says the event is a “sight to see” since participants tend to get decked out in everything from clown suits to disco duds and invade the area in a huge herd.

Many onlookers are left confused – and maybe even a little scared – by the wild biker bunch, but Olson assures it’s a happy event.

Since the ride can go up to three hours, Olson recommends riders try to keep their costumes from being too cumbersome so they can move faster and easier.

However, a wild get-up is still a good choice since people tend to ride faster when they’re having fun.
