Bizarre Cosmetic Procedures

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Cosmetic surgery can be far more bizarre than just your routine facelift and boob job.

Just ask Natasha Porlas, who works at Changes Plastic Surgery and Spa in San Diego, the focus of Oxygen’s new show Addicted To Beauty.

The medi-spa assistant says some of the strangest procedures come from reconstructing a woman’s body after childbirth.

She also says there’s a bizarre surgery where the balls of the feet are injected with Resilin to give more cushion to one’s step.

Despite access to cutting edge procedures, Porlas stays away from the scalpel and has only had one surgery – a breast augmentation – in the five years she’s worked in the field.

As for Addicted To Beauty producer Kevin Dill, the strangest treatment he’s ever seen is something called dermaplaning, where the first layer of skin is scraped off with a blade to remove dead cells.

Addicted To Beauty premieres August 4.
