Superfans Hung Up On Canceled Sitcom

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Two Arrested Development fans just can’t let sleeping dogs lie when it comes to their favorite show.

When the award-winning comedy series was canceled by FOX back in 2006, Neil Lieberman and Jeff Smith were heartbroken.

Three years later, the pair still can’t get over losing their favorite show and have filmed a documentary known, for now, as the Arrested Development Documentary Project.

The superfans traveled across the country and to Canada to talk to other fans who miss the show as well as its stars.

Smith says, “We came up with the idea because we felt the show never got a fair shot. We want to bring some life into something that’s dead. It’s an homage to the fans and an attempt to get new fans.”

The cancellation has had a lasting effect on the pair.

Lieberman says Arrested Development “ruined all other shows” for him, because nothing else on TV can ever compare.
