Thrill Seekers Bid On Night Of Ghostly Terror

FALL RIVER, Mass. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Adventurous folks are bidding to stay in the same room where its former occupant was brutally murdered, yet still hangs around.

The Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast is holding an online auction on eBay for a night in the room where Abby Borden, stepmother of Lizzie Borden, was hacked to death with an axe on August 4, 1892.

The winner, who’ll be chosen today (Jun. 12), will stay in the room on the 117th anniversary of the gruesome murder.

Manager Lee-Ann Wilber says holding an auction was the best way to give everyone a chance to stay in the room on the infamous night, since it’s in high demand.

But whoever wins better be ready for a night of scares.

Last year’s auction winner ended up leaving in the middle of the night because so many freaky things were going down.

Wilber says, “The lights went out and the door swung open, which I can’t explain. It’s a nice, old Victorian house with issues.”
