Hotel Offers Deals For Rich And Poor Alike

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The recession is affecting the travel industry, but one San Diego hotel is barreling through by offering a bizarre travel package for budget-conscious visitors.

The Keating Hotel is offering 33 percent off the second night of a two-night stay to any customer who shows up wearing a barrel, suspenders, and a top hat – the trademark outfit of broke businessmen in cartoons.

In addition, the hotel’s restaurant is offering a 15 percent discount on meals if the guest wears the barrel to dinner, and free drinks for every hour spent washing dishes.

Keating Hotel spokesman Todd Gabello admits no one has taken up the offer yet, but claims he’s heard rumors of a barrel shortage in the San Diego area since the deal was announced.

But the Keating isn’t ignoring high-end customers either.

The hotel also offers an Armed Guard package to former AIG and auto industry executives who wish to spend their bonus money without fear of retribution.
