Playing With Food Produces Fine Art

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Let kids play with their food!

So says Patricia Zemanek, curator of Eat It!: An All- Things-Related To Food Exhibit at San Francisco’s Eclectix Gallery this Friday (Mar. 13) through April 26.

The show will display pieces created by various artists depicting delicious food, people devouring meals, and even some masterpieces made from real food.

Among the creations are a portrait of Condoleeza Rice made entirely of rice, another of Rachel Ray made in pasta, fruit carved into different figures, and paintings, drawings, and sculptures of yummy goodies.

After seeing the amazing foodie art created for the show, Zemanek says parents should never keep their kids from playing with their food.

She adds, “I let my kids play with their food. I encourage my kids to be as creative as possible, though I prefer them to do it outside so there’s no mess.”
