The Dark Room theater in San Francisco is weirding out audiences with Twilight Zone Live: Season 6, a tri-weekly stage production of episodes from the sixth season of the famous freaky show throughout March.
Producer Jim Fourniadis says its a little harder to creep out modern audiences since, theyre more jaded now, but the stage show still manages to bring the scare.
He explains, A lot of the episodes we do are still very creepy and prophetic, and still have a relevant message. Plus, theres more immediacy there because you can touch the actors.
Its not all dark stuff, however.
The theater spectacle cleanses the palette by staging campy commercials in between each episode, just to stay on track with the pretend television setting.
