This past Monday (Mar. 3), Bachelor Jason Mesnick dumped his fiance Melissa Rycroft on national TV, revealing he was still in love with runner-up Molly Malaney and wanted to date her instead.
Fans are outraged by the shows insensitive move which many speculate was rigged and are threatening to boycott it, but creator Mike Fleiss isnt worried.
He says, If people dont wanna watch it, dont watch it. Im not really that concerned.
Fleiss insists producers had zero involvement in Mesnicks shady decision and all parties knew what they were getting into before signing up for The Bachelor.
He explains, The show is supposed to be difficult to watch. Its all part of The Bachelor universe.
Although Fleiss argues that Mesnick wasnt contractually bound to break up with Rycroft on air, he admits it made good TV.
