San Francisco couple Chad and Robyn Barker were blessed with a baby boy 15 months ago, and in turn they decided to bless him with the name Pi just like the famous math number.
Barker says he and his wife, who arent mathematicians, named their son Pi because, We had been thinking of creative names and what appealed to us is that the number goes on forever. It represents the cyclical and infinite nature of life.
Through his name, Barker hopes little Pi sees that the world is full of infinite opportunities and possibilities, but realizes his sons name may be a big burden.
Barker explains, Were aware Pi might grow up and think we cursed him with his name. Kids might make fun of him, but it can help him too. It can go either way.
Every March 14, or 3.14, the Barker family tradition is to celebrate Pi Day with little Pi.
