Bo Shaffer a.k.a. The Iceman is the director of the International Cryonics Institute & Center For Life Extension (I.C.I.C.L.E).
Every month, hes responsible for packing 1,500 pounds of dry ice into a local chamber that holds the body of a man named Bredo Morstoel, whos been cryogenically frozen for the past 20 years.
Grandpa as Morstoel is called by locals has become so famous in his chilly afterlife, that the town holds an annual Frozen Dead Guys Days festival each year, which is coming up this weekend (March 6-9).
Shaffer understands the fascination with Grandpa so he conducts tours of the chamber where the body is kept in conjunction with the festival.
During tours he toasts Grandpa by having an Old Grandad Over Dry Ice bourbon poured over ice thats taken directly from the dead guys container.
Shaffer says the stiff drink made from the ol stiffs ice is for dramatic effect and creeps out tourists, much to his amusement.
