‘Dancing’ Winners Venture Into Music Biz

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A couple of pros from Dancing With The Stars are sliding into the music recording business.

DWTS champs and best friends Mark Ballas and Derek Hough have been playing music together for the past 10 years.

Their group, the Ballas Hough Band, drops their debut album March 10 and will be playing their single “Do It For You” today (Feb. 5) on Good Morning America.

Ballas – who plays guitar and sings – says he and Hough would love it if their music ended up on DWTS someday.

During filming, Ballas often jams in his trailer and talks music with the dancing show’s resident guitar player.

He’s also picked up quite a few music tips from celebrities who’ve competed on DWTS such as Toni Braxton and Lance Bass.

Ballas says his celeb dance partners are usually intrigued by his double life as a dancer/singer and often attend his concerts.

Past BHB groupies have included winning partner Kristi Yamaguchi and Kim Kardashian.

While Ballas’ frontman gig drives the ladies wild, he says dancing is what really scores him major points with girls.
