Stan Lee: ‘Superheroes Are The Real Hollywood Stars’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Superheroes are the real superstars of Hollywood.

That’s the scoop from comic book legend Stan Lee, who’s the mastermind behind comic classics such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, and the X-Men series.

Lee says his comics make great movies because, in his words, “Whatever I’m involved with has to be great and exciting.”

The 86-year old comics king also says it doesn’t hurt that he makes a cameo in all his flicks – including 2008’s Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk – making him a Where’s Waldo? for geeks.

He laughs, “They should give me an award for best cameo of the year. You never know where I’m going to end up!”

However, there is one flick where the legend didn’t make the onscreen cut: X-Men 2.

Lee explains, “They shot it in some God awful place that I couldn’t get to. I was very upset about it and wish they’d do that movie over again and do it right!”
