The Mt. Rose Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, is hosting their 14th Annual Elvis Day in honor of The Kings birthday (Jan. 8).
The special celebration is mainly driven by the ski resort employees, who don their best Elvis get-ups all day long.
Elvis Day creator Mike Pierce says its not uncommon to see instructors, ski lift operators, and rental workers decked out from head-to-toe in rhinestone Elvis jumpsuits, complete with chrome sunglasses and black wigs, which, in Pierces words, Act like snow caps.
The cocktail waitresses even get in on the hunka-hunka burnin love by dressing up as Elvis main squeeze Priscilla Presley 60s bouffant and all.
Pierce kicks off the festivities by getting on the roof of the resort in full Elvis gear and heckling incoming skiers.
He laughs, I get up there with a few other Elvises and we give the skiers a hard time. We make them dance by telling them to Give The King a little wiggle.
