Molossia, A Tiny Yet Proud Country

RENO, Nev. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If America isn’t working for you, create your own country.

That’s what Kevin Baugh did, and now he’s the dictator of the Republic of Molossia, a tiny country that consists only of his house and yard in Reno, Nevada.

Molossia has a population of four – Baugh’s family – uses the “Valora” as currency, has a national instrument called the molossaphone, which is a trumpet-shaped kazoo, and lists cookie dough as the national food.

His Excellency, President Baugh, explains, “We are a very proud, little country. We get tourists who think we’re just a house on the street, but I put on my military uniform and give them a personal tour of the country.”

Like other countries, Molossia has seen times of war, battling the fake nation of Mustachistan and its leader Sultan Ali-Ali Achsenfree in 2006, but Baugh says Molossia “trounced them mightily.”

Though President Baugh says he rules with “a velvet glove wrapped around an iron fist,” he’s actually a “nice dictator” who takes good care of his people and doesn’t shoot anyone.
