Christmas Carols Get Wacky

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Forget those lame old Christmas ditties, there are plenty of weird, wacky holiday jams waiting to be caroled.

For instance, Weird Al Yankovic’s “Christmas Memories” is good for a laugh with lyrics like: Mom would be cooking up a mess of boysenberry and tuna fish burritos for our big Christmas dinner/ And dad would be decorating the tree with little bits of Spam.

There’s a new Rudolph in town with Lou Monte’s “Dominick The Italian Christmas Donkey,” which sings: Children sing, and clap their hands/ And Dominick starts to dance/ They talk Italian to him/ And he even understands.

Finally, the joys of being preggo during the holidays are something to carol about in Nancy White’s strange song, “It’s So Chic To Be Pregnant At Christmas.”

The lyrics lament: Oh, the salesclerks are so FRIENDLY this Christmas/ One said, ‘Oh God, lady, don’t have it here’/Their discretion and manner go right out the door/ When I and my stomach appear.
