Balloon Cameras Catch Candid Moments

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Cameras tied to balloons can end up in random places.

The Balloon Project sends a camera tied to a bunch of balloons up into the sky to film different cities from above.

Co-creator Luca Antonucci and his team follow the balloons on bikes as they float away and the camera attached often lands in funny places.

He says, “In Berlin, the camera landed on somebody’s doorstep. In the video, you see this lady pick it up like, ‘What’s this thing?’ We all laughed watching it later.”

Antonucci says the best videos they’ve gotten are often the ones they never see.

He explains, “The videos of us trying to find the camera often turn out to be more interesting. The most awesome one was in Italy. We never got back the video from the balloons, but we got ourselves chasing it around on a boat and getting sick. It was a crazy adventure!”
