Mobile Homes Memorialized Head First

DOVER, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – An RV park in Dover, Florida, is paying tribute to the Airstream trailers that house rednecks.

This year, Airstream trailers are celebrating their 75th birthday, and the Park in the Bates RV lot is celebrating with their Airstream Ranch.

The park buried seven-and-a-half of the silver trailers head first along their property to commemorate their long years in business, but it was no big deal.

Spokesperson Michael Dautel says, “We just took a crane, picked up them trailers, dug us a hole, and dropped them in. It was pretty easy actually.”

The trailers have already become a roadside tourist attraction, but Dautel says they’re no hobo attraction, since all the windows and doors have been sealed.

Dautel says the RV park is happy to honor what they consider an “American icon,” and that all people can enjoy the memorial, whether they’re trailer park folks or not.
