Lady Liberty Is A ‘Super Cougar’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – At a ripe 122 years old, fresh- faced Lady Liberty may officially be a super cougar.

Tomorrow (Oct. 28), the Statue of Liberty celebrates her 122nd birthday, and 87-year-old iconic artist LeRoy Neiman – who’s been in love with the landmark since her younger years – is commemorating the occasion by releasing a limited edition serigraph titled Portrait of Liberty.

The colorful rendering depicts the bust of Lady Liberty’s head and crown, reminding the world of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The masterpiece is the second serigraph Neiman has created of the statue, and he thought that now was the perfect time for the Colossus cougar to get a facelift.

There are 450 of the serigraphs signed by the artist and numbered available, but those who don’t get their hands on one can check out a special framed silk-screen that Neiman has donated to The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation.
