Test Drive Your Dream Job

PORTLAND, Ore. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A company in Portland, Oregon, is helping weary workers try their dream job on for size.

Vocation Vacations helps people turn their hobbies into careers by allowing them to try a job for a few days to see if they like it.

The company has hundreds of mentors around the country that offer an inside look into more than 150 different careers.

“Vocationers” can learn the ropes as a TV producer, animal therapist, cheese maker, and even an oyster farmer without needing a resume, background experience, or an interview.

Founder Brian Kurth says, “The only thing you must have is a passion for that vocation.”

Kurth says taking a working holiday has helped many of their clients take active steps towards getting their full-time fantasy gig.

However, many have also come to find they already have what they want.

He explains, “They save time and money going for a career change by realizing they prefer their old job sooner rather than later.”
