Lawless says simple menus for different phases of football games are easy to tackle, including tailgate grub, kick-off appetizers, halftime munchies, and end-zone snacks.
For tailgating, she suggests something easy to transport to a parking lot like Beer Can Chicken, which combines beer with roasting chicken, oil, salt, and pepper.
She says dips and baked buffalo wings are easy kick-off starters, and meatloaf sandwiches are ideal for Monday Night Football, because you can cook the meatloaf over the weekend.
If your team is losing at halftime, she suggests serving Pork Picadillo, a hearty, comforting, tomato-based Cuban soup.
Lawless says the end of the game calls for Excessive Celebration Peanut Butter Brownies, a sweet treat to honor your teams big win.
