Segway Polo Players Ride Dirty

SAN JOSE, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Riding a segway can finally help nerds score.

Segway Polo is the latest sporting craze amongst tech geeks in which teams of players aboard segways compete against each other to see who scores the most goals.

According to International Segway Polo Association organizer and player for the Silicon Valley Aftershocks Stuart Moore, segway polo players like to ride dirty.

He explains, “Some of us do push the boundaries and play by the motto ‘If it’s not in the rules, it’s allowed.’”

Players, who include Apple CEO Steve Wozniak, have been known to get a mallet to the face, cracked ribs, and busted knees on the field.

Spectators shouldn’t be too surprised, however, since Moore says segway polo isn’t a fancy, upper-crust game like traditional polo.

He says, “We’re more likely to eat donuts and energy drinks on the sidelines then champagne and caviar.”
