Impressionist Uses Talent For Revenge

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Impersonating other people can help you get revenge.

Bethany Owen is known as the “Woman of 1001 Voices and Faces,” impersonating celebrities like Fran Drescher, Britney Spears, and Hillary Clinton for her one-woman stage show.

Owen admits to imitating people she meets on the street behind their back, and has even used her talent to get sweet revenge.

When a Broadway casting director refused her an audition, saying her name had no star quality, she called him back, or rather Barbra Streisand called him back, and gave him an earful.

Owen says, “I had a lot of chutzpa, and I wanted to mess with his head.”

She says when it comes to imitating, “the crazier the voice the better,” and was once complimented by Dolly Parton, who said, “You do my voice better than I do.”

Owen takes her show, One Voice, to the Copy Katz Showroom in Palm Springs, California, from tomorrow (Aug. 14) through August 31.
