Can’t Paranormal Peeps All Just Get Along?

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There’s a destructive rift among paranormal researchers, and one website wants to stop the hatin’.

Iamhaunted.com is an online community where ghost hunters, Bigfoot followers, and UFO enthusiasts can discuss their interests and build bridges that have been torn down.

According to creator Alan Rupnick, jealousy and rivalry has plagued the paranormal community since the rise in TV shows surrounding the supernatural, like Ghost Hunters and Paranormal State.

He says, “People have been cruel and vicious to each other trying to get to the top of the ladder. Trash talk happens from time to time because one group thinks the other is crazy. They make politicians look tame.”

Rupnick says his website is often under attack from various parties that don’t think all paranormal groups should mingle.

However, the site has helped mend the gap between communities.

Rupnick says, “My goal was to bring people back together, and I have. There are still glory-seekers out there, but people have learned to get along.”
