Fourth Of July Turns Into A Slaughter Celebration

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Going vegan this Fourth Of July isn’t just good for you, it’s good for innocent animals too.

According to Dawn Moncrief, executive director of the Farm Animal Reform Movement (FARM), this year’s July 4 festivities are a celebration of slaughter, since one million piggies, chickens, and cows will get killed every hour to satisfy Americans’ barbecue needs.

Worse than that is the anguish animals feel before they die.

Animal communicator Dr. Kim Ogden explains, “When I’ve spoken to animals on the killing floor, they feel extreme panic and confusion. They don’t know why they’re being taken from their friends and family. No one explains it to them.”

Dr. Kim says she’s tried comforting animals, but laments, “What could I possibly say? You’ve been raised inhumanely and will be killed inhumanely just so Americans can get fatter?”

Both Moncrief and Dr. Kim suggest people to try vegan and vegetarian alternatives for the 4th, like veggie burgers and “Not Dogs,” meatless hot dogs.
