Rock Photographer Becomes Rockstar Himself

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One rock ’n’ roll photographer has become a rockstar in his own right.

Bob Gruen has been documenting the wild music scene for more than 40 years, snapping iconic shots of rock legends including the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Elvis, and John Lennon.

And it seems his famous friends’ star quality has rubbed off on him.

Gruen says, “I’m getting to be the rockstar of photography. I would have never expected it, but I’m enjoying it. Only now people expect my pictures to always be awesome, but sometimes the shutter just doesn’t work.”

Gruen is sharing some of his favorite rock star pictures in his latest exhibit, ROCKERS, at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in New York, and giving fans an all-access tour tomorrow (June 24).

Gruen says it’s hard for him to pick his favorite photographed musician, but admits, “You can’t take a bad picture of Debbie Harry [Blondie]. She’s just gorgeous.”
