Ties Are Relevant Gifts For Father’s Day (Jun. 15)

ST. LOUIS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Getting your dad a tie this Father’s Day (Jun. 15) is “knot” a bad idea.

Don Schnure is the creator of “The Tie Video,” an instructional film that helps neckwear novices learn to master five tie techniques – the Half Windsor, Windsor, Four in Hand, Pratt, and Bow tie styles.

Although giving your dad a tie for Father’s Day seems like a tired tradition, Schnure says our poor economy makes it a perfect gift.

He says, “With people getting laid off and looking for jobs, you can’t be nonchalant. You have to look sharp.”

Though he admits ties can be a tacky gift involving no thought, they’re still okay in his own family.

He says, “If my little girl gave me a tie, I’d absolutely wear it. I’ll wear that Mickey Mouse tie! Anytime you get appreciation from your kids, you take it!”
