Classic Rocker Loves Guantanamo Bay

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Classic rocker Jack Blades is proud of his recent stint in prison.

As the bassist and singer for Night Ranger – best known for their 80s hit “Sister Christian” – Blades has toured the world dozens of times.

But it was his recent stint playing for the troops at Guantanamo Bay that got him all amped up.

He says, “They loved us, and were so appreciative. It was definitely one of the more honorable things Night Ranger has ever done.”

Blades and the band even got to tour the frightening facilities.

He says, “I saw a lot of stuff, man. We were eye to eye with Al Qaeda pricks. I was staring them down.”

Night Ranger’s current tour will take them all over the U.S., but the prison playing is a thing of the past.

Blades says, “We’re going to stay out of maximum security facilities.”

Night Ranger rocks the Cher-Ae Heights Casino in Trinidad, California, this Thursday (May 22).
