Restaurant Asks Cheese Lovers To ‘Melt The Vote’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – This year’s election is getting cheesy.

Clementine Bakery and Cafe is holding their own presidential election, and they’re looking to name one of their sandwiches the big cheese in 2008.

The eatery has been holding their “Melt the Vote” election during the month of April to celebrate National Grilled Cheese Month, in which patrons choose super sandwich delegates and vote on which melty meal is to be named Commander in Cheese.

April 28 through April 30 are super cheese days at Clementine, and voters will pick between the restaurant’s yummy Philly cheesesteak, white cheddar and turkey sandwich, grilled torta, and another meal to be named later to decide the winner.

Restaurant manager Anastasia Sotiropulos says, “Every person has a personal favorite, like with political candidates. There’s been some that have surprised many, but the Philly cheesesteak will be hard to beat. Another sandwich may come back from behind, though. In the end, I think the winner will be something with lots of cheese in it.”
