Coke Gets Blessed For Passover (Apr. 19-27)

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – This Passover (Apr. 19-27), Coca-Cola is rolling out some blessed bottles.

Every year for the Jewish holiday, Coca-Cola releases a kosher version of their soft drink, which replaces the conventional high fructose corn syrup with actual cane sugar.

To make the drink truly divine, a rabbi is brought in to bless the kosher coke concoction.

Bob Phillips, spokesperson for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Southern California, says it’s difficult to tell the difference between kosher and regular Coke, which is refreshing news for Jews keeping true to the purity of the Passover tradition.

While bottling plants in areas with large Jewish populations, like New York, will put the cap on more kosher Cokes this Passover, Phillips says within the next few months, all Coca-Cola soft drinks will be certified Kosher for everyday consumption.
