‘Geek’ Loses Confidence After Being Picked Last

COLFAX, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Getting picked last is a geek’s worst nightmare.

Just ask Jonathan, who was the latest “geek” eliminated from Beauty And The Geek this past Tuesday (Apr. 1), in a suddenly harsh twist.

The geeks were lined up while the “beauties” were asked to choose a geek to be their long-term partner, and the geek that wasn’t picked would be sent packing.

Jonathan was the last, lonely geek standing, and says his elimination took a toll on his self-esteem.

He says, “I felt awful being the only geek that wasn’t chosen. Being picked last is a geek’s worst nightmare! It’s like dodgeball all over again. It really tore me down. I think I left the show with less confidence than I had going in.”

Jonathan says the twists and turns of the current Beauty And The Geek season – which initially pitted the beauties and geeks against each other – didn’t facilitate growth in the geeks, and he’s disappointed he never got to experience having a beautiful partner.

He says, “Out of 42 geeks that have appeared on this show, I was one of two that never got a beauty. It sucked!”

Beauty And The Geek airs Tuesdays on The CW.
