‘Survivor’ Dropout Keeps In Touch With Frisky Friends

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – She may have called it quits, but one reality show dropout is still keeping in touch with some peculiar Survivor pals.

Kathy Sleckman quit Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites this past Wednesday (Mar. 19), and she admits, “As soon as I got there, they were like, “You’re old, tall, quirky, and kind of weird. We don’t like you.”

But she did manage to escape with a few real – and potentially rabid – friends.

She says, “I met Chet [Welch] and Tracy [Hughes-Wolf] who will be lifelong friends. And I met a couple of rats, we email each other, and that bat that hit my head, we still talk.”

A big reason Sleckman shipped herself home was because she missed her six-year-old daughter, but Sleckman isn’t exactly getting the pint-sized praise she hoped for.

She says, “I thought my daughter would be proud of me, but she wants nothing to do with the show!”

Survivor: Micronesia airs Thursdays on CBS.
