‘Survivor’ Cast-Off Ballin’ After Loss

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The latest Survivor cast-off may have seemed tame on TV, but it’s a different story at the ping pong table.

This past Thursday (Feb. 21), Yau-Man Chan was voted off Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites, and Chan, whose nice guy nature took him far on Survivor: Fiji, believes that same optimism cost him the crown this time.

Chan left contestant Cirie Fields out of an important alliance, and he admits, “I wasn’t aware of the power Cirie had in convincing people. I don’t read people well, and I missed her completely.”

While Chan couldn’t trample his competitors, there’s one place where he brings terror to the table.

Chan is a ping pong pro, and plans on competing at the U.S. Open Table Tennis tournament this summer.

He says, “Table tennis is like Survivor in that both are physical and use strategy. Not being able to read people doesn’t matter as much in table tennis as it does on Survivor.”

Survivor: Micronesia airs Thursdays on CBS.
